Ashton House Nursery was founded by Margaret Sheppard, a mum of five, from a passion and vision for outdoor childcare. The nursery is now run by her two youngest children Jack and Anna, who had an outdoor childhood within the extensive grounds at the Ashton Hayes site. The family have a real sense of adventure, ensuring that their children have freedom to take risks to develop resilience, self-belief and character.
From knowing that children are happiest and healthiest within the fresh air, this passion and vision for an outdoor ethos lives on today and is at the heart of the ‘Ashton House Way’.
