Our qualified and experienced cooks, Holly and Jo prepare all of our homemade meals on site. They have taken a great deal of care in developing a six week menu for the children which rotates every week and is healthy, nutritious and enjoyable. 'Healthy eating is very well promoted and the Nursery has recently received a Platinum award for the quality of their food. This means children benefit from eating a wide variety of healthy meals which are freshly prepared, very nutritious and well balanced'. We use local produce, minimal salt in our cooking and do not use any processed foods. We try and give as much variety as we can to the children. New foods are initially tried on a small scale and if they are liked by the children then they will be introduced into the menu. All dietary requirements are catered for in the Nursery. Our cooks try to make all of the meals look the same so that when the children are eating together, the children with special dietary requirements do not feel any different to the rest of the group. For snack time the children have a variety of fresh fruits, raw vegetables, dried fruit , bread sticks, crumpets and crackers. We have three different menus per day. A weaning menu which introduces babies to fruit and vegetables, a babies' menu which introduces older babies to meat and fish and a main children's menu for all children from 12 months upwards.
