Busy Bees enjoy a variety of exciting activities each day. The children have recently enjoyed many role play activities and have been very involved in using their wooden sink unit, washing machine and fridge. Tea sets, pots, pans and wooden spoons have all been in constant use as the children's interest in this activity has grown and grown.

Music is part of every day in Busy Bees. The children join in with different action rhymes and often use Makaton sign language during singing and music activities.

They especially enjoy imaginative play and dressing up and like to try on different hats from the dressing up box.

They love to play in their outdoor area which leads directly off the room. This is set up each day with different play equipment and ride-on toys to encourage balance and mobility. They often go for walks around the grounds and visit the horse in the neighbouring field.

Encouraging and developing the children’s social skills is also important in Busy Bees. The children are encouraged to take turns and to share with the other children.

At snack and meal times the children sit together in small groups around tables to create a homely environment.
