Links with down under...

We have started to make links with Camelot Early Years Centre in Melbourne, Australia. We thought it would be great for the children to develop their understanding of different places and what better place to start than the other side of the world in Australia! The children in Butterflies have enjoyed looking at maps and different objects from Australia and lots of books about the wildlife. They have created pictures of things that they associate with Australia including boomerangs, kangaroos and didgeridoos. We have also looked at pictures of the nursery in Australia and have looked at some of the children in the nursery doing different activities. We hope to continue to develop these links and share many of the things we do in each of our nurseries.
